Typing is something that schools and teachers take for granted, but it's a necessary skill that must be taught.  Here are three great sites that I've found useful when teaching students how to type.

1) Dance Mat Typing

Begin at Level 1 and build up your skills gradually through to Level 4. Here is the breakdown of the levels.

Great tool to motivate students to type faster with better accuracy. Why not make a competition in the classroom for the fastest typist.

3) Keyboarding Games for Kids
Grades 3-8
Summary: Disguised as games, these activity actually help student improve their typing skills and speed.  There are also basic lessons here to discover if you find the Dancing Mat is too primary for your learners.  There are nine games in all and three lessons.  Great fun!!!
